Afirmação e a Negação
QUESTION – TAG
O question-tag é uma estrutura interrogativa formada pelo verbo auxiliar mais o sujeito de uma sentença.
Tal estrutura sempre aparece colocada no final da frase, e se forma pelo inverso interrogativo da frase inicial.
Assim:
Frase inicial afirmativa ==> Q.T. negativo/interrogativo
inverso
Frase inicial negativa ==> Q.T. afirmativo/interrogativo
inverso
Q.T. é sempre abreviado
She is a nurse, ISN’T SHE?
John was’t a doctor, WAS HE?
CASOS ESPECIAIS
Come here, WILL YOU? (imperativo)
Let’s dance, SHALL WE? (Let’s)
I may go, MAY I NOT? (May)
I am a student, AREN’T I? (To be)
Ou AM I NOT? (menos usada)
